I really liked this piece & despite the heavy profundity of the  issue of unprotected sex  it left a  hopeful smile on my face. The colors , the scenery , the little boy joy and the young provokative yet sweet demeanor of the young lady  made it touchy feely for me. Rogerio Manjate is a writer, a journalist, an actor, a theater company director bref he is a story teller.  Among some of his most noted publications , there is  his first children book called “Casa em Flor ” (would love to read that) It seems like AIDS awareness is  one his fav’ cinematographic  theme, indeed in 2007 he directed the movie “My Husband’s denial” which dealt with that issue. He’s published poetry work as well ,def’ someone in the african litterature world  to be in the lookout for:) Yaye

Excited , excited just can’t wait for the opening ceremony this July 27th , are you going to tune in? It’s so nice to see the athletes beaming with pride in their olympic atires greeting the world, aware that they are representing the hope of their people.I guess that’s what Rahamatou Drame the Malian Olympic Team Ambassador will be feeling on saturday. I guess that’s the disapointment that American/Sierra Leonan track star Jeneba Tarmoh was feeling during that unfortunate & controversial ordeal whic occured a few back resulting in her withdrawing officially from the 100m Olympic game. The pride, I guess that’s what Didier Drogba, Philips Idowu & Fabrice Muamba felt as they were carrying the torch throughout the streets of London. The joy I guess that’s what our kenyan, ethiopian , maroccan & eritrean people will feel as their watch their fierce long distance runners fight for a medal (which

Good morning you guyz, hope all is great. The holy month of Ramadan started almost a week ago. I read this Surah this morning and felt that whether we are Budhist, Christians, Muslims we all could get something out of it ..I certainly did.Sometimes we do get lost in the quest of external approval, the quest of “yes he or she is badd” …These few lines def’ resonated inside of me and I’ll try to remenber that during my day.Wishing you a wonderful and productive day, Happy Wednesday ….Let’s Go!! With the Name of Allah,The Most Gracioux, the Ever Merciful.I commence to read Surah Al Takathur.1-Mankind your vying with one another to excel in multiplying wordly possesions diverts you from God and the true values of life.2 -Until on your death you embrace the graves.3 – Nay, you should never hanker after wordly gains, power and position, you shall come to

It’s a great tool but da.. sometimes if feels like we all work for it non?:)  Anywhoo wanted to share my liking for Ghanaian singer Efya formely known as Miss Jane. She’s a young artist based in Accra, she’s influenced by old school artists like Aretha Franklin, current artists like Frank Ocean, Janelle Monae, Beyonce of course. Yes she can sing but I think what I like abt her artistry is that she goes all the way, she ain’t afraid to be a bit different.I was watching a studio session featuring her, her passion is strong, you can tell that she really wants “it” & she doesn’t hold back. Efya is the daughter of a famous Ghanain TV host, she had her big break when she participated in a TV

A couple of weeks ago I went to see the documentary “Ladies Turn”  directed by Helen Harden .I’ve heard about it on the TV Talk show ” Plus d’Afrique”.I wanted to see it because I didn’t know anything about female soccer local players , I had never been to a game, never heard anything about them. The movie follows the lives of a few outspoken ball lovers, the difficulties they face to be accepted by their parents, the struggles the Ladies’ turn organization face to get adequate fundings in order to organize championship games , the camaraderie that is apparent among the players.Bref I realy enjoyed it,I was really touched by the passion of the Senegalese soccer team captain Seyni, she fought hard to get funding , to get media coverage, to get the legal authorizations in order to play in the main stadium.I was happy to hear that she
