Happy Easter you guyz, Hope everybody is having a fabulous time with their loved ones:) So one of my fav’ thing from America and that I missed dearly was cupcake so when I found out that photographer Gogo Sy had a side business as a cupcake entrepreneur I couldn’t wait to try. I called 2 days in advance and decided to try with the hubby just 4 cupcakes, chose vanilla & chocolate flavors. She was really nice on the phone and yesterday she delivered my guilty pleasure.First of all I was happy to see a young sista doing her thing and doing a fun thing and I was even more excited when she told me that she would be opening up a cupcake store very soon , just can’t wait. So my fav’ was this vanilla cupcake filled with jelly inside, it was moist and the cream was on point.

Chocolat, chocolat, it’s good to know that fine chocolate is being produced in Mama Africa. While serving as peace corpes volunteers,Tim McCollum and Brett Beach fell in love with the beautiful island of Madagascar & its production of cocoa. They wondered why since over 60 percent of  the world production of cocoa is being produced in Africa, how come  there were not many fine chocolate being made in Africa so they jumped on that idea & Madecasse chocolate was born.  The cool thing is that this business brings jobs to Malgachi people indeed they harvest, they cultivate the cocoa and even the packaging is made in Madagascar. Madecasse offers 8 types of eating chocolate like pink pepper & citrus chocolate, cinamon & sakay chocolate, sea salt & nibs chocolate and of course your good old milk chocolate. Apart from the eating chocolate they also sell baking chocolate and vanilla products. Check them

Hi you guyz, I hope you had a wonderful day:) I’ve been meaning to share with you guyz my thoughts about this beautiful Nigerian movie starting Nse Ikpe Etim and Joseph Benjamin and directed by Ikechukwu Oyeka . It’s about this couple that’s going through a very rough patch, the husband wants out ,the wife wants to work it out but doesn’t know what to do.But with the help of God, her lawyer she finds a way to gain his love and respect back.I enjoyed this movie because it could happen to all of us, sometimes love is not enough or as a couple you go through ups and downs but the point is not to give up.We’re the fast food generation if we don’t like it, we’re out,  we tend to take decisions quickly when it comes down to love.Pride is our main motor most of the times…so I

I wanted to start this post with this video because I think that it’s really explanatory of  the actions of Burkinabe Architect Francis Kere in his home village of  Gando. Mr Kere was the recipient of a  German bursary which allowed him to study architecture in Germany. While there, his village was heavy on his mind.Even though he was still in school he was impatient to make a change in his country so with the help of friends and his association “Schulbausteine für Gando” he set to use the western architecture methods he learned in Germany and adapt them to the reality of Africa. The first thing he did with the help of the villagers was build a school made with mud bricks, now you know that our African sun shine bright therefore when the walls are made entirely of cement it can get really warm ( trust me I know

Let me be frank with y’all , don’t know a thing about rugby but it’s always cool to find out about African people excelling in various fields:) Yannick plays flanker position with the Toulouse  rugby team . He’s known for his quick agility on the field .In 2006, he was part of the victorious National French team who won the Six Nations Championship.Last year he made headlines when he was caught crying on the field while “La Marseillaise” was playing. This year he’s hoping to take part in the XV de France but it seems like it may not be an automatic go. On the positive side he’s been chosen to reincarnate the character of the Prophete for the video game Crysis 3. Check out the 29 years old rugbyman in his body painting session: Djaa les gars du Congo sont dedans aussi:) Yaye

French Photographer Baudouin published a beautiful photography book with images of 75 Parisian women. The idea was to invite himself in the personal spaces of those women that he didn’t know personally but were either referred to him or that  he met randomly in the streets of Paris. The pictures were taken over the course of 6 years & what’s cool about it  is that you find all kinds of women: white, young, tall, blonde, brune, black ect..Speaking of black I was happy to see 2 sistas of African descent represented: Cameroonian French Nelly Mbonou the co founder of the fashion brand June Shop & Tunisian/Ivoirian/French singer Laeticia Dana, go on sistas:) http://www.baudouin.fr/ Yaye
