I ate so much yesterday it’s not even funny… between the paella and the couscous my Christian friends made ..man I was full! I had a wonderful Easter, it was nice seeing Christians celebrating , having fun, drinking and being merry:) I’ll be back toms with some interesting posts:) Much love Yaye

Hey you guys so I’ve been looking online for videos describing the journey of young people who went to Mecca for pilgrimage.I don’t know if that I’m not lucky but I couldn’t find videos that really touched me until I found this video of this loving African American couple travelling from Kansas City to Mecca & Medina. I spent an entire hour following th their journey, I felt their tears, their joy at being in the Holly city . I’m striving to get to that spiritual level where I can really appreciate such a trip & I hope to one day accomplish this duty with my husband InchAllah! J’aime vraiment beaucoup …OUI,  I enjoy her sweet and melodious vibe. When we usually think of Angolan music usually, we tend to think  of Kuduru music echididii ehh echididi .Well, you’ll be glad to know that  there are other type of artists there like Aline who’s influenced by Cape Verdean, jazz music,African rythm & bossanova. Aline Fell in love with music at age 9, wrote her first songs at age 15 but it was later on in her early twenties while she lived in Brazil that she dipped seriously in the music field. Aline played at various bars, cafe concert places, bref wherever she could do what she likes best;playing live music. When you listen to her music, the way she dresses , carries herself , it’s easy to see that she’s a nomad at heart. “So guyz back  end of the summer of 2012 I was involved with a cool project called “Women Groove Factory”basically it’s a project centered around 2 Senegalese female artists who come from different horizons and work around an album. I totally get what executive producer Nosarieme Garrick is trying non will do with this 8 Parts documentary (the series will be available mid 2013) on what  Africans are really doing.I gets the project so much because that’s what my webbie is about; showing our talents and our thirst for growth.Nosa has written for publications like Afripop,Sahara Reports so she knows what she’s talking about.In the trailer she goes to her home country Nigeria and meets up with a nigerian photography collective and follows them as they carry on with their projects.
